Sound familiar?
“Am I doing enough… or too much?”
Most parents feel caught somewhere in the middle:
Wanting to support development
Worrying about overstimulation
Buying one toy too many
Stepping in too soon — or too late
Montessori offers a different rhythm: Observe first. Support thoughtfully. Trust development.
Inside the class
What your baby does in class
Your baby explores — we don’t perform. Choose an age below to see what a session looks like at each stage.
Newborn wonder
Focus · Visual development, neck & core strength
The youngest babies settle onto soft floor mats to take in a calm, uncluttered world — tracking, reaching and beginning to move.
- High-contrast black-and-white cards and gently moving mobiles
- Tummy time on floor mats to build neck and core strength
- Reaching, batting and the first purposeful grasps
- Space to begin rolling, in their own time
No flashing lights. No loud toys. No forced participation.

-
Yes. Each baby attends with one trusted adult — a parent, helper or grandparent. We strongly encourage the same adult each session, so the baby feels secure and the adult builds confidence in observing and supporting development.
-
This class is designed primarily for non-walking babies, so the environment stays calm, safe and developmentally appropriate for early movement and concentration. If your baby has just started taking a few steps, do reach out — we’re happy to advise on suitability.
