Birth Doula

Birth Doula at Mother and Child Singapore

I’m afraid of labour — what if I panic or can’t cope with the pain?

A birth doula keeps you calm, grounded, and supported — every step of the way.

“What if I panic and forget everything I learned during labour?”
That’s exactly where a birth doula steps in.
She’s your calm in the chaos — reminding you how to breathe, helping you stay focused, guiding your partner, and holding space when things feel overwhelming.
You don’t have to remember everything — your doula’s got your back.

Our birth doula provides continuous, personalised support throughout your pregnancy, labour, and early postpartum journey — helping you feel informed, empowered, and never alone.

FAQ’S

  • Will a doula replace my partner in the birth room?

Not at all. A doula complements your partner’s role — guiding them, offering reassurance, and helping both of you stay focused and connected during labour.

  • Do I need a doula if I’m planning an epidural or C-section?

Yes! A doula supports all birth choices. Whether you choose pain relief or require a surgical birth, your doula helps you stay calm, informed, and emotionally supported every step of the way.

  • Is a doula medically trained?

Even if your doula is a qualified midwife, her role during birth is strictly non-clinical. She won’t perform exams, diagnose, or make decisions — but she will help you advocate for yourself and understand your options.

  • When should I book my birth doula?

We recommend getting in touch around the second trimester to secure availability and allow time for meaningful prenatal visits.
