Caring for a newborn is both a joyful and challenging experience. Whether your caregiver is completely new to newborn care or has looked after many babies before, Cradle Care creates a shared foundation for how your baby will be cared for at home.

In this practical 2.5-hour workshop, experienced healthcare professionals guide helpers, nannies and other caregivers through the everyday skills they'll use with a newborn.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, experienced midwives and healthcare professionals guide helpers and nannies through the critical skills needed to confidently and competently care for a newborn.

What’s Included:

• Feeding the newborn safely (breastfeeding and bottle feeding basics)

• Diapering and hygiene

• Bathing and umbilical cord care

• Safe sleep practices and reducing sleep-related risks

• Recognising health concerns and knowing when to seek help

• Comforting and soothing a newborn

• Emotional support for parents and adapting to the home environment

We encourage open discussion and hands-on practice throughout the session. Please wear comfortable clothing.

When should my caregiver attend?

Ideally before your baby arrives, or soon after a new helper, nanny or confinement nanny joins your household. The aim is to establish safe, consistent newborn-care routines from the beginning.
